Hospitals vary in the quality of care they provide. A quality measure is one way to see how well hospitals care for its patients. This website has quality measures that show how often hospitals provide recommended care known to get the best results for most adult patients with a heart attack, heart failure, or pneumonia; children with asthma or those having surgery – common conditions for which patients are likely to be hospitalized for treatment. Getting the recommended care means you are more likely to have better outcomes.

The hospital process-of-care measures include:
Five measures related to surgical care improvement Four measures related to heart failure care
Eight measures related to heart attack care Two measures related to asthma care (for children only)
Seven measures related to pneumonia care Three measures related to overall hospital care

Florida Hospital wants to provide you with up-to-date results. These results are from patients who had overnight hospital stays during the appropriate time period.
